Garlic

Harvest Period --- from Late November

This Australian variety of garlic has a great taste and best of all leaves minimal odour after eating so you don't have to be worried about keeping your friends at bay. Organic garlic (and Australian grown garlic) isn't treated with bleach to whiten the skins.

The cloves of this Australian variety have a high oil content and a great taste.
Shallots

Harvest Period --- from January

Shallots have the appearance of a small onion but have a much finer grained texture and refined flavour which is quite different to that of it's onion cousin.

Nature's Haven is currently producing two shallot types: a red variety (pictured here) which can be available for up to 3 months from End Jan and a brown variety which can be available all year round.
Eshallot

Harvest Period --- Most of the year

Eschallots are great for adding that hint of onion without being overpowering. Chop and add to salads, stir fry and just about any mix.
Leek

Harvest Period --- Most of the year

Although similar in appearance leeks are not actually part of the onion family.

Anyone who has a salicylate intolerance can substitute leek for onion as leeks have a low salicylate content.
